Opening in summer of 2024 the Laboratory in Brooklyn will provide to its community;

SOUND CLINIC: DEEP AND BODILY LISTENING

Our bass and sub-bass centered, spatial sound clinic with a daily schedule of 20-60 minute sessions in which guests are asked to leave behind their phones, shoes and thoughts will emphasize deep and bodily listening conveyed through ambient, drone, bass and sub-bass sound arts expressly created or adapted for the 16 channel d&b audiotechnik sound system running "Soundscape" software.

INNERCONNECTION, FACILITATED AND SELF-GUIDED

Many scheduled sessions will be accompanied by instructor led breathwork and meditation sessions, while others will allow participants to self-guide their journeys. Membership, sliding scale, work exchange and drop-in options will be available.

DEEPER WORK, IN COMMUNITY

Those who seek deeper introspection and work will be invited to participate in workshops and longer-form sessions. Sessions involving organic instrumentation, with or without the sound system, will also be offered.

CAFE: ADAPTOGENIC, NOOTROPIC AND FUNCTIONAL

A front cafe space will offer for take-away, delectable and nutritious, gut-friendly elixers and snacks containing well researched and ancestrally-used adaptogenic and nootropic compounds, like ashwaganda, rhodiola, lions mane, caffeine, L-theanine and theobromine, for visitors interested in diversifying their intake of beneficial compounds and improving the physical state of their daily existence. Most products will be grain-free and with no added sugar. Select products from Reforesters' agroforestry farm upstate will be woven into the offerings and occasionally celebrated through harvest offerings.

The combination of interventions offered by the Laboratory will represent a powerful antidote to the stresses and busyness of life in New York City and will give participants opportunities to explore the mind-body connection in new ways and on their own terms. It will socialize the work of its upstate counterpart, Reforesters Farm, and The Laboratory will be an intentional safe space, free of judgement and open to all New Yorkers and visitors to our great and loving city.
